How it works
From a link in your browser bar to an audio file on your device. Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.
Open the video on YouTube and copy its link. In the app, tap Share, then Copy link. In a browser, copy the address from the address bar. Single videos, Shorts, live replays and YouTube Music tracks all work.
Paste the link into the box, then choose MP3, M4A, OPUS, WAV or FLAC. For MP3 you can also pick 128, 192 or 320 kbps. 192 kbps is a good default.
Press Convert. A status page shows the download and conversion progress, and a Download button appears when your file is ready. Save it right away: files are deleted after 30 minutes.
Formats
Small and universal, Apple-friendly, space-saving or lossless for editing. Pick what suits where the audio is going.
Plays everywhere
The universal choice. Encoded at a constant 128, 192 or 320 kbps, and plays on every phone, car stereo, laptop and smart speaker.
Uncompressed
Uncompressed 16-bit PCM audio at the source's sample rate. Large files, but every editor and DAW opens them instantly.
Apple-friendly AAC
AAC audio in an MP4 container, at about 128 kbps. It usually sounds a little better than MP3 at the same size and plays natively on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Original YouTube audio
A modern, very efficient codec. YouTube usually delivers audio as Opus, so this option typically saves the original stream as-is, with no re-encoding. Some older players can't open it.
Lossless, with tags
Lossless like WAV, in a format built for archiving that supports tags. It keeps the full precision of the decoded audio, so files are often about as large as WAV.
